Dee Coastliners Sense of Place Study Tender trustadmin Wed, 01/05/2019 - 17:04 Dee Coastliners Sense of Place Study Tender Cheshire Wildlife Trust wishes to appoint a consultant to work with the Dee Coastliners Development Team on a Sense of Place Study for the Dee Estuary.

The study should include two outputs: an audience development plan and an interpretation plan. Both these plans will feed in to the Dee Coastliners Activity Plan which is being produced for the second round Dee Coastliners funding application to the National Lottery Heritage Fund.

Dee Coastliners is a project developed by the Tidal Dee Catchment Partnership, a group of organisations working together across the Dee Estuary. Cheshire Wildlife Trust is leading the development of the funding application on behalf of the Tidal Dee Catchment Partnership.

Please note your office base will initially be at our HQ in Malpas but will soon be moving to office space in the East of the county.

Are you passionate about creating space for wildlife?  Cheshire Wildlife Trust is recruiting a countryside manager with a broad range of skills to deliver landscape scale conservation work across Eastern Cheshire. You will be responsible for maintaining and enhancing a suite of nature reserves in this area of the county and delivering a range of exciting project based work in the wider landscape.

The successful candidate will have hands on experience in a range of land management practices for nature conservation, an understanding of agricultural systems and skills in wildlife identification, specifically botany. Personable and approachable, you will be comfortable meeting with farmers, partner organisations, community groups and volunteers as you engage more people in our work, advocating for the Trust and creating more space for nature.

You will need to be an effective communicator, able to work independently and as part of the team and know when to take initiative.  A good understanding of relevant legislation and a creative approach to securing sustainable income to support your work will be required.
